Boa Vista is best known for its endless white-sand beaches, among the most beautiful in Cape Verde and even Africa. Boa Vista is not only about beaches: life moves to the rhythm of morna, Cape Verde's soulful music, and the more energetic funaná. Local people are known for their warm welcome and relaxed philosophy of life — “no stress, tudo direito”. The cuisine is simple and full of flavour, with fresh fish, cachupa and tropical fruit. Sal Rei, the small capital, feels like a peaceful village with colourful streets, craft markets and beach bars where time seems to slow down. Here, “no stress” is a way of life.

Boa Vista is not designed for travellers looking for constant nightlife. It is an island for disconnecting, recharging, feeling the wind, listening to the ocean, walking barefoot in the sand and living at the rhythm of the sun.
